Benoit and his Orchestra played in cardiff last sunday to celebrate the Queen’s diamond Jubilee. Despite the heavy rain, the quartet kept the party going on St Mary’s street, playing two explosive sets. People challenged the terrible weather and danced until the end. Benoit had to apologise publicly for putting their health at risk and all the hats blown away by the strong winds, but everybody knew that 20-30’s popular music was always dangerous. The BBC was there to report on the event in national news, making the band the star of the day.
