Benoit Viellefon headlines the premiere of The Other Cinema at The Troxy.

Benoit Viellefon & His Orchestra have delivered a great perfomance at  The Troxy for the launch of The Other Cinema, a unique movie experience concept, created by Future Cinema, designed to give back the venue it’s opening glory bringing community, passion and shared experience back to cinema. At this occasion, the legendary art deco Troxy theatre has been renovated into a retro style picture palace for five nights, with live performances, an organist and usherettes, while screening the 1940’s romantic classic, A Brief Encounter direct by David Lean.

This was a national event, the flagship venue being the Troxy in East London. It was a huge success with the five nights sold out two weeks before the shows .Benoit Viellefon & his orchestra won the heart of the 1500 strong  crowds night after night. Thanks to their flamboyant performances, Benoit Viellefon & His Orchestra were booked straight away for 39 shows of Bugsy Malone produced by Future Cinema at the same venue in March and April 2012.

The magnificient 3,500-seat Troxy Cinema opened in 19″”with King Kong as its first presentation.
