2015 is already set to be a big year for the Orchestra and the Hot Club! We are extremely happy and honoured by the response of the public over the past few months at our concerts and shows. Heading into the new year we are excited to announce our brand new residencies!
From January, Benoit Viellefon & his Orchestra will be appearing monthly at both The Lexington (Pentonville Road, Islington) and prestigious jazz venue The Spice of Life, and the Hot Club at Brasserie Zedel’s The Crazy Coqs cabaret. After the success of the Hot Club’s residency Upstairs at Ronnie Scott’s many of the guests, being avid swing dance fans, wanted an opportunity to express their love for Lindy Hop, Balboa, Foxtrot and other dances. These new residencies are just that – an exciting look at the music of a time when dancing and entertainment were key. An opportunity to immerse ones-self in the nostalgia and elegance of a bygone era – the music, fashion, dance steps and lifestyle!
The Lexington residency will take place on the 2nd Sunday of every month, and the Orchestra will be joined by DJ France, one of London’s most in demand Swing DJs and dancers.
The Crazy Coq cabaret is held in one of London’s most beautiful spaces and fantastic restaurants, Brasserie Zedel. Benoit and his Hot Club already play regularly in the restaurant, boasting a week long residency once a month. The Cabaret club residency is a new venture for both the band and the establishment, marrying the best cuisine with the best in entertainment and music.
Details are yet to be confirmed for The Spice of Life though the first show has been confirmed on the 19th February 2015.
Have a look at our calendar for more details. We hope to see you at one of these events soon – but hurry… Tickets go quickly!
